Introducing Belgian law in a European context
This course aims to give the student an overview of the Belgian legal environment, the government and the political system.
The purpose is to create a forum to promote the knowledge of the legal systems in the house of Europe.
The world's leading companies increasingly treat Europe as a single market. Encouraged by the single market programme and the globalisation of world markets, they have restructured their business to ignore Europe's internal borders which presents many challenges.
But the single market does not yet have a single legal system!
It is more and more important to have a grasp of legal developments at both the European and the different national levels and to appreciate the strategic changes that will occur over the next few years.
