Elementary dutch
The course offers survival Dutch for exchange students. The aim is to develop communicative skills, with the main focus on listening and speaking, and reading and writing.
Level
The level is basic, so no command of Dutch is needed. Referring to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages CEFR level A2 is aimed for.
Subjects
Topics covered include: making introductions, days of the week, months of the year, figures and counting, food and drinks, what time is it, asking directions, shopping, public transportation, controlling the pace of the conversation, socialising, … In the teaching sessions, there is a strong emphasis on interaction and result-orientation.

No examination, but in-unit and continuous assessment, both written and oral (tests, preparations, attendance, presentations, …)
